Work the feedback feed
What this achieves
Section titled “What this achieves”The feed is where every piece of continuous feedback lands: what you were sent, what you sent, and for a manager, what moved across the team. Acknowledging a note records that you read it, rather than leaving the sender to guess.
Required role: Any signed-in user. The team view is for Administrators and Managers.
- Go to Feedback & 1:1s → Continuous Feedback.
- Stay on Received to read feedback sent to you.
- Use the type filter to narrow the list, or leave it on All types.
- Select Acknowledge on a note you have read. The note then shows Acknowledged.
- Switch to Given to see what you have sent.
- Switch to Team Feed if you manage people, to see feedback given and received across your team.
The three views
Section titled “The three views”| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Received | Feedback colleagues have sent you. |
| Given | Feedback you have sent. |
| Team Feed | Feedback given and received across your team. Available to Administrators and Managers. |
What each note shows you
Section titled “What each note shows you”| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Sender | The colleague who wrote it, or Anonymous where they chose to send it anonymously. |
| Type | Praise, Recognition, Constructive, or Suggestion. |
| Visibility marker | Private or Manager visible. A note sent as Public carries no marker. |
| Acknowledgement | Acknowledge until you have read it, then Acknowledged. |
Anonymous notes
Section titled “Anonymous notes”Where a colleague sent a note anonymously, the sender reads as Anonymous on your Received list and in the Team Feed. The author sees their own note named in their Given list.
Example: an anonymous Suggestion sent to Olivia Bennett shows as Anonymous to her and as Anonymous in her manager’s team feed. The colleague who wrote it still sees it under their own Given tab.
Acknowledging
Section titled “Acknowledging”Acknowledge records that the feedback reached you. It is not agreement, and it does not send a reply — there is no reply on this screen. If a note needs a conversation, have the conversation.
Example: James Whitfield acknowledging a Constructive note from Olivia Bennett records that he has read it. Whether he agrees with it is a matter for their next one-to-one.
What you cannot do here
Section titled “What you cannot do here”You cannot edit or delete a note you sent, and you cannot remove a note somebody sent you. The feed is a record, not a mailbox.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”Acknowledged feedback stays on the record and counts towards the feedback figures a manager sees on team health and an administrator sees in analytics. Where a note was linked to a competency or a skill, it stays attached to it, so the evidence is still there when a review or a development plan needs it.
