Configure notification settings

What this achieves

Notification settings decide what Humavera tells people about and how it reaches them. Digests bundle that into a periodic summary instead of a stream of individual messages.

Required role: Administrator.

Steps

Go to Settings → Notifications to configure delivery.
Go to Settings → Digests for the tenant-default digest.
Set the Digest Frequency.
Set the Delivery Time.
Choose the Delivery Channels.
Under Content Includes, choose which sections the digest carries.
Select Generate Preview to see a sample before saving.
Save.

Channels

Option	Description
Email	Delivered to the person’s email address.
In-App	Delivered inside Humavera.

Choosing both means the same thing reaches someone twice. That is right for anything time-critical and wrong for routine updates, which is how notification fatigue starts.

Digest frequency

Option	Description
Daily	A summary each day.
Weekly	A summary each week.
Monthly	A summary each month.
Off	No digest.

Weekly suits most organizations. Daily suits teams whose work genuinely turns over daily, and produces an email people stop reading everywhere else.

Example: a weekly digest at HC Corp UK Ltd arrives with enough in it to be worth opening. A daily one to the same people would mostly be empty.

Delivery time is in the workspace timezone

The delivery time is local to the tenant’s timezone, which is set under Settings → General. It is not each recipient’s own timezone.

For a company spread across time zones, a time that suits your head office arrives in the middle of someone else’s night. Pick the compromise deliberately.

Example: a delivery time set for HC Corp UK Ltd’s London morning reaches staff further east at the end of their day.

What the digest contains

Option	Description
Learning Reminders	Overdue courses and upcoming deadlines.
Opportunity Matches	New internal opportunities matching the person’s skills.
Development Plan Updates	Milestone reminders and progress updates.
Feedback Alerts	New feedback received and pending reviews.
Team Insights	Team readiness changes and overdue learning. Managers only.

Turn off sections that are not live in your workspace. A digest advertising a module nobody uses trains people to ignore the whole email.

Use the preview

Generate Preview produces a sample digest from your current settings. Read it as a recipient would — if the sample is thin, the frequency is too high for how much actually happens.

Tenant defaults and personal preferences

What you set here is the tenant default. Individuals have their own notification preferences and their own digest settings, reachable from their own settings, and personal choices apply on top of the default.

Set a sensible default rather than assuming everyone will configure their own. Most people never open that page.

What happens next

Notifications are delivered in the recipient’s own language, so a default language set for the workspace does not force everyone into it. Digests begin arriving at the next scheduled delivery, and individuals can adjust or switch off their own without affecting the default.
