Work your team list
What this achieves
Section titled “What this achieves”My Team lists the people who report directly to you. It is where you check who is on your team, when you last had a one-to-one with each of them, and where you start anything you need to do about someone.
Required role: Administrator or Manager.
- Go to My Team.
- Read the count at the top — it tells you how many reports you have.
- Read each person’s card for their Hire date and Last check-in.
- Select View profile to open someone’s record.
- Select Check-in to open that person’s feedback, where a one-to-one is started.
What each card shows
Section titled “What each card shows”| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Name and job title | The person and their role. Someone with no job title recorded shows as No title set. |
| Department | The department they sit in. |
| Employment status | A badge on the card, which is how you spot a report who is on probation or serving notice. |
| Hire date | When they joined, followed by how long that is. |
| Last check-in | When you last completed a one-to-one with them, or No check-ins yet. |
Last check-in is the column to read
Section titled “Last check-in is the column to read”A date several months old, or no check-ins at all, is the most useful thing on this screen. It is not a gap in the data — it means those conversations have not been happening.
Example: Olivia Bennett sees two engineers with no check-in in four months. That is the week’s first task, ahead of anything else on the list.
Only your own reports
Section titled “Only your own reports”My Team shows the people who report to you and nobody else. You cannot reach a colleague’s team from here, and you cannot get to one by changing the address in your browser.
Example: Olivia Bennett cannot open the Finance team from My Team, even though she and Daniel Okonkwo are both at HC Corp.
If you have no reports yet, the screen tells you so. People appear once they are assigned to you as their manager on their employee record, which is done in the employee directory rather than here.
What you can start from a card
Section titled “What you can start from a card”Each card carries actions that begin a request about that person. They are covered on their own page, because each one goes somewhere different and some of them route to HR.
Once you have raised something, its progress appears in a panel further down the same screen. Those panels are also covered on their own page.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”Opening a profile takes you to that person’s employee record. Starting a check-in creates a one-to-one you can seed with an agenda before you meet. Everything else on the row raises a request that follows your organization’s approval route.
