Track the requests you have raised
What this achieves
Section titled “What this achieves”When you ask for something on behalf of someone in your team, somebody else has to approve it. This screen tells you where each of those requests has got to, so you do not have to chase anyone to find out.
Required role: Administrator or Manager.
- Go to My Team.
- Scroll past your team’s cards.
- Find the panel for the kind of request you raised.
- Read the Status column against the person’s name.
The panels
Section titled “The panels”Each panel covers one kind of request and shows only what you raised.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Probation reviews | Your reports currently on probation, soonest end date first. This one sits above your team’s cards, not below. |
| Team training requests | Training you asked for, with the person, the course, and the target date. |
| My requisition requests | New roles and backfills you asked for, with the position, which of the two it is, and its reference number once it exists. |
| My probation decisions | Probation decisions you submitted, with what you decided. |
| My termination requests | Leaver processes you asked HR to begin, with the reason and the last working day. |
Example: Olivia Bennett raised a course for James Whitfield and a backfill for an engineer who resigned. Both appear here, in different panels, without her asking HR about either.
A panel you cannot see has nothing in it
Section titled “A panel you cannot see has nothing in it”Panels stay hidden until they have something to show. An empty screen below your team is not a fault — it means you have nothing outstanding.
Example: Olivia Bennett has never requested a termination, so she has never seen that panel.
What the statuses mean
Section titled “What the statuses mean”Most panels share the same ladder.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Draft | Started and not yet submitted. Nobody is looking at it. |
| Pending approval | Submitted and waiting on somebody else. |
| Approved | Agreed. Several panels say what the approval produced — a training request reads Approved — enrolled, a requisition reads Approved — opened. |
| Rejected | Declined. It goes no further. |
Termination has one more step, because approving a leaver process and carrying it out are different things. An approved request reads Approved — pending execution until it has actually been done, and then Executed.
Example: a termination Olivia Bennett raised can sit at Approved — pending execution for a fortnight while HR works through notice and a last working day. The decision is made; the process is not finished.
Deciding a probation, from here
Section titled “Deciding a probation, from here”The Probation reviews table is the one panel you can act from. A report close to the end of their probation is flagged Review due, and Make decision on that row raises the decision.
Once you have raised it, the row reads Decision pending and the outcome moves to your probation decisions panel.
You see your own requests, not your colleagues’
Section titled “You see your own requests, not your colleagues’”These panels are bounded the same way the rest of My Team is. They show requests concerning your own reports.
Example: Olivia Bennett cannot see the training Daniel Okonkwo has requested for Finance, and he cannot see hers.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”A request sitting at Pending approval is with an approver, and approvals is where its route and its history live. An approved request produces its outcome in the section that owns it: an enrolment in learning, a draft requisition in recruiting, an updated employee record after a probation decision.
