Work a sales inquiry

An existing customer who wants terms beyond a published plan raises an inquiry from inside their own workspace. This screen is the other end of that conversation: read what they asked for, send a proposal, or close it.

Required role: Humavera platform staff.

  1. Go to Platform → Sales Inquiries.
  2. Select an inquiry from the list on the left.
  3. Read the thread, and the employee figure and support interest shown with it.
  4. Write your proposal in the message box and select Send proposal.
  5. To decline, enter a reason and select Reject / close.
OptionDescription
Open — awaiting proposalRaised by the customer. Nothing has been proposed yet.
Proposal receivedYour proposal is with them.
Revision requestedThey have asked for something different. It is back with you.
Accepted — provisioning to followThey accepted. The negotiation is closed and the arrangement still has to be set up.
Closed by salesYou declined it.
ClosedThe customer withdrew it.

You can respond while an inquiry is open or has a revision request against it. Once it is accepted or closed, the thread stands as the record.

Everything you write on the thread is read by the person at the customer who raised the inquiry, attributed to Humavera. It is correspondence, not an internal note. Anything that should not be read by them belongs somewhere else entirely.

Example: a proposal naming the employee cap, the credit allowance, and the term is what the customer needs to decide. Working notes about the account are not.

Accepting does not change anybody’s plan

Section titled “Accepting does not change anybody’s plan”

When a customer accepts a proposal, nothing about their subscription changes at that moment, and they are told so on their side. Acceptance closes the negotiation; the arrangement is then set up on their workspace record as a negotiated agreement, with the agreed cap, credits, and term entered by hand.

That separation is deliberate. A customer agreeing to terms does not silently reshape their live environment.

An accepted inquiry becomes work on the workspace record. Until that is done, the customer is on whatever plan they were on before, so an accepted inquiry sitting unprovisioned is a customer paying attention to a change that has not happened.
