My Team
What this achieves
Section titled “What this achieves”My Team is the screen a manager works from, listing the people who report to them and the decisions currently waiting. It exists so a manager can start the things managers normally have to email HR about — training, a backfill, a probation decision — from the same place they see their team.
The manager is the initiator
Section titled “The manager is the initiator”In many HR systems a manager can only respond to work that HR has already started. Humavera treats the manager as the person who begins it. Each of the actions below opens a request that follows your organization’s approval path, so the manager starts the process and the right people still review it.
Example: when James Whitfield needs an external course, Olivia Bennett starts the training request from her team list. It routes for approval rather than being granted on the spot.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Initiate training | Start a training request for a report, which routes for approval where a cost is involved. |
| Request a requisition or backfill | Ask for a replacement or an additional role; an approved request becomes a draft job requisition in recruiting. |
| Request termination | Ask HR to begin a leaver process. The manager requests it and HR approves and executes it separately. |
| Probation decision | Confirm, extend, or decline to confirm a report whose probation period is ending. |
Probation is surfaced, not remembered
Section titled “Probation is surfaced, not remembered”Probation decisions are easy to miss because nothing prompts you on the day they fall due. Humavera surfaces reports whose probation is ending so the decision is made deliberately and early, rather than discovered late.
Example: if Tom Hargreaves finishes a six-month probation on 30 September 2026, his manager sees the decision coming rather than finding it after the date has passed.
Scope: your reports, and only your reports
Section titled “Scope: your reports, and only your reports”My Team shows the people who report to you. This is enforced by the system, not by hiding rows on screen — a manager’s requests for employee data are limited to their own reports, so a manager cannot reach a peer’s team by changing a link or bookmarking a page.
Example: Olivia Bennett cannot open the Finance team from My Team, even though Priya Raman sits one level below Daniel Okonkwo in the same company.
Two consequences follow. Company-wide analytics are an admin surface, not a manager one, because a manager has no company-wide view to build them from. And a manager who genuinely needs a wider view needs a wider role, rather than an exception.
Separation from the termination decision
Section titled “Separation from the termination decision”Termination deserves a specific note, because the split is deliberate. A manager can request a termination, but cannot carry it out. HR approves it, and executing it is a separate step again. The person being discussed is never notified that a request is pending.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”Actions started here become requests in the approvals system, where they follow whatever route your organization has configured — including parallel approvers, deadlines, and escalation. Approved outcomes land in the module that owns them: a backfill becomes a draft requisition in recruiting, a confirmed probation updates the employee record, and an approved training request becomes an enrolment or a booking.
