What this achieves

Every other section of this documentation answers how to do one thing on one screen. These guides answer the questions that cross several sections at once: where to start, what order things go in, and which page to open at each stage.

How these differ from the rest of the documentation

A guide carries no click-paths. It explains the shape of a journey, says why each stage comes where it does, and links to the page that does the work. Where a stage carries a decision that is painful to reverse, the guide says so and points at the page that sets out the trade-offs.

That means a guide is a route, not a substitute. Read it to know what is coming; open the linked page to do it.
