Add a course to the training directory
What this achieves
Section titled “What this achieves”A course in the training directory is one thing an outside provider teaches, which every customer workspace can find and open on the provider’s own site. Adding one puts it in the catalogue and decides how it will be found.
Required role: Humavera platform staff.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”The provider has to exist first. A course belongs to one provider and cannot be added without it.
- Go to Platform → Training Courses.
- Select New course.
- Choose the Provider.
- Enter the Title and the Description.
- Set the Delivery mode and the Status.
- Enter the External URL where the course lives on the provider’s site.
- Tag the Skills and the Sectors.
- Enter the Duration (hours), Level, Price, and Currency where you have them.
- Set the Countries, or leave them empty, then select Save.
Tagging is what makes a course findable
Section titled “Tagging is what makes a course findable”| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Skills (global library) | Tagged against the platform’s shared skill library, not free text, so a search for a skill reaches every course teaching it. |
| Sectors | Tagged against the platform’s industry list, so a customer can narrow to their own sector. |
| Countries | Where the course is available. Leave empty and it inherits the provider’s coverage. |
| Delivery mode | Online, Offline, or Hybrid. |
Example: a course tagged with the skill a customer is searching for reaches them. The same course entered with a good description and no tags does not, because the description is not what the filters read.
The rest of the fields
Section titled “The rest of the fields”| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Title, Description | What the course is. Read by customers. |
| External URL | Where the course opens. Customers leave Humavera to reach it, so a wrong link is a dead end. |
| Duration (hours), Level | What a customer needs to plan around. |
| Price, Currency | What it costs, in the currency the provider charges in. |
| Status | Active to list it, Hidden to keep it out of the directory, Deprecated to retire it. |
Deleting a course cannot be undone. Where a course is no longer offered, hide it instead so the record stays.
What customers see
Section titled “What customers see”Everything on this form except the status is read by customers browsing the directory, in every workspace on the platform, including free ones. Prices in particular are read as fact: a stale price is worse than no price.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”An active course appears in the directory under its provider and can be filtered to by skill, sector, country, and delivery mode. Loading many courses at once is a separate task with its own screen.
